DisEnvy at the Movies: Big Hero 6

I had the chance to see Big Hero 6 this weekend, and coming off last year's huge success of Frozen, Disney Animation had big shoes to follow after. But I dare say that we are now in the next Disney Renascence when it comes to their animated movie.

When Disney bought Marvel a few years back, they took notice of this franchise, and took Marvel off the name. Disney changed a lot about the characters, and the team. I encourage you to take a look at some of the comics before or after you see the movie so that you can see the difference.

While Big Hero 6 has a few flaws, it's nothing to really complain about, and it's mainly the story. The story is good, and keeps you entertained, it does slow down a little much. This movie does however, tug on your emotions, a lot.

Character development is fairly good, but because the story isn't that great, the characters do suffer a little, but hopefully we will see more of these great characters in a future sequel

Like I stated, the story is good, and has a high and low points. When action is happening, you are on the edge of your seat. You will laugh a lot. Baymax has some great one liners, and grows on you as the movie progresses. My problem is the slow parts. I can deal with slow parts, but in a couple of places, it was almost boring, but it didn't take long to turn that around to a faster pace scene.

Do make sure to stay after for a post credits scene. Its defiantly a Marvel movie.

Overall, I would have to give this, an 8/10
