Planning a Disney Honeymoon Part 3

Man how does a year go by so fast. It was just over a year ago when I booked our one week stay at the Contemporary Resort in Walt Disney World, which has now turned into a one week in WDW, 4 day cruise on the Dream, and back to WDW for 4 days to run the Goofy Challenge during the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. To say I am ready is a bit of an understatement.

Since the last post a few things have changed. I am no longer going to be doing the Richard Petty Experience, so we have booked breakfast at the Tusker House, so that we may be able to get some Animal Kingdom in to start the trip off.  We are spending some time in Epcot on Monday mainly to eat at Via Napoli for the Candlelight Processional Package that night, where we will be hearing the Christian artist Steven Curtis Chapman give the reading.

We are in the window for our Fastpass+ reservations, but Bethany doesn't have an Annual Pass yet, and we were going to upgrade her 2 day pass that comes with the package to an AP when we got there. So with that in mind I got up on our 60 day mark at 2:30 am to book our 2 days that Beth can book. My main focus was New Years Eve, as we will be spending the day in Magic Kingdom, and that park usually closes early due to the crowds. To my surprise, We were able to get Anna and Elsa, and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. We are also visiting Cinderella and Rapunzel before our dinner. The last thing we are looking for that day is our Be Our Guest invite for lunch.

The only other day we made our Fastpasses for was the next day, which happens to be our Epcot day. Beth and I love Soarin', and wanted to make sure that we were able to get on the ride with little or no wait, as the first time we rode it we waited 3 hours. The other two are nothing big, The Seas with Nemo and Spaceship Earth, which one of those will probably change by time we get there.  I have made other fast passes for my self, hoping that I may be able to copy them over to her when we upgrade her pass.

When making the plans, I was assuming the cruise would be departing on Sunday, but have since realized that it will be Monday, so will have an extra day to run around the parks or in Downtown Disney,  I'm thinking the latter as it's easier to leave DTD than it is to leave any of the parks. We will be heading down to Port Canaveral on Sunday afternoon so that we can just wake up on Monday and head out to the Dream.

That seems to be all on the honeymoon planning for now. The next post will probably be the Honeymoon recap, that will also take multiple post to do. what do you think of our plans? What should we add, or maybe take away, we would love to hear your input!
